Tanya Vitek is an Instructional Specialist with the South Dakota Statewide Title III & Migrant Consortia.  Tanya’s passion for education drives her to keep student achievement and student opportunities at the forefront of every decision.  Mrs. Vitek received a Bachelor in Science in Elementary/Early education with a Middle School endorsement in Language Arts and Social Science from Black Hills State University.  In addition, she has also obtained an English New Language endorsement from Dakota Wesleyan and an M.ED in English Language Learners from the University of North Dakota.  Throughout the past 20 years, Tanya’s teaching experiences have ranged from Preschool through 8th grade, with seven of them being at a multi-grade Hutterite Colony school.  These teaching experiences, along with 10 years of service on the local school board, have deepened her understanding of the South Dakota education system and the challenges it faces.  Tanya looks forward to supporting SD Title III & Migrant Consortia districts in developing their programs to enhance the education and achievement of their Culturally & linguistically diverse students.
